QUEST – A Journal of the Social Sciences is a biannual, peer-reviewed, and interdisciplinary research journal, established in 2007 under the visionary aegis of the University Grants Commission – Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (UGC-MMTTC), formerly known as the UGC-Academic Staff College and UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), at Kumaun University, Nainital. The journal was founded to give substantive and enduring shape to the Centre’s commitment to academic excellence, pedagogical innovation, and the promotion of high-impact research in the realm of higher education.
Over the past decade and a half, QUEST has evolved into a distinguished platform for the dissemination of original scholarship and critical inquiry. Anchored in the principles of academic rigour and intellectual diversity, the journal seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, constructive debate, and the exchange of transformative ideas among academicians, researchers, and thought leaders from across the social science disciplines.
Recognizing India’s rich multilingual academic tradition, QUEST is published in both English and Hindi, thereby creating an inclusive space for scholars from varied linguistic and regional backgrounds.
