Author’s Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts adhering to the following guidelines:

  1. Length and Formatting:
    • Manuscripts should not exceed 6000 words, including references and footnotes.
    • Use Times New Roman, font size 11, with double-line spacing throughout.
  2. Cover Page:
    • Title of the article (bold)
    • Name(s) of the author(s)
    • Professional affiliation
    • Correspondence address and email address
    • Please ensure the authors’ names do not appear anywhere else in the manuscript.
  3. Structure of Manuscript:
    • Second page should contain:
      • Title of the article (Times New Roman 16, bold)
      • Abstract (200–250 words, Times New Roman 12, single-spaced, italics) covering purpose, methodology, findings, limitations, and practical implications.
      • 3–5 keywords reflecting the principal topics of the paper.
  4. Content Requirements:
    • Research papers must include an Introduction (with brief literature review), Methods, Findings/Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
    • Figures (charts, diagrams, photographs) should be clear, black-and-white, electronic, and numbered consecutively.
    • Tables must be included within the text, numbered sequentially, with sources mentioned beneath each table.
    • Mathematical expressions must be typed clearly to ensure easy reproduction.
  5. Referencing Style:
    • Use the Harvard Style of referencing.
    • In-text citations should include (Author, Year, Page).
    • The Reference List should be alphabetized by surname, single-spaced, and placed on a separate page.
    • Examples:
      • Journal Article: Bekaert, G., Harvey, C.R. and Lundblad, C. (2007) ‘Liquidity and expected returns: lessons from emerging markets’, Review of Financial Studies, Vol. 20, pp.1783–1831.
      • Book: Geddes, K.O., Czapor, S.R., Labahn, G. (1992) Algorithms for Computer Algebra. Kluwer Publishing, Boston.
      • Online Resource: Cartwright, J. (2007) ‘Big stars have weather too’, IOP Publishing Physics Web. Available at: http://physicsweb.org/articles/news/11/6/16/1 (Accessed 26 June 2007).
  6. Footnotes:
    • Use sparingly, numbered consecutively, and placed at the bottom of each page.
  7. Editing Rights:
    • The editorial team reserves the right to modify/edit manuscripts for clarity, grammar, style, and compliance with journal standards.
  8. Submission Format:
    • Manuscripts should be submitted in both PDF and MS Word formats to quest.nainital@gmail.com.
    • Two hard copies and a soft copy (CD) should also be sent by post if applicable.
